Job Title: Purchaser
Location: Aldridge
Salary: £27,027.00
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 & Friday 08:00-15:00
A well‑established emanufacturing client are looking for an experienced purchaser within the aldridge area to join their expanding team!
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast needs.
- Track orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- MS Excel and ERP/MRP Systems.
