Frequently Asked Questions

No, we do not operate any Umbrella Schemes. Oliver Rae pays all candidates through a PAYE scheme. A PAYE scheme allows you to pay for your income Tax and National Insurance. Our payroll will calculate how much you need to pay and take it out of your pay packet before you receive it. Oliver Rae then send it to the HM Revenue and Customs.

Yes, weekly in arrears. For example if you were to start on the 1st August you would get paid on or before the 14th of August. 

Yes, as we pay through a PAYE scheme your holidays get accrued as your work. Therefore, if you are to work 40 hours for 4 weeks you will accrue 2.333 days of holiday. 

We process your P45 and then you get paid all of your outstanding holidays. If you want to then join the agency again, you just need to re-register!

Most of our assignments are Temporary to Permanent unless stated otherwise. Therefore, after 12 weeks of you proving yourself to the employer they will decide whether to give you a permanent contract or not. Yes, we have a permanent roles division within the business. 

You must call the out-of-hours number 1 hour prior to your shift starting. 

Payslips are sent every Thursday between 09:00am – 14:00pm to your email in a PDF format. 

Each role is different – some are the same day, next day, one week, two weeks. It completely depends on our clients roles and your skill-set, however, the consultants will always provide you with an upfront, honest and realistic time frame and what to expect.
