Meat Packer
Location: Walsall
Pay Rate: £12.71 (£18.31 per hour after 42.5 hours)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 5:30pm
We are currently recruiting for hardworking and reliable Meat Packers / Production Operatives to join a busy food production facility. This role offers consistent hours, regular overtime opportunities, and the chance to become part of a well-established team.
This is a physically demanding position working within a chilled environment, so applicants must be comfortable working in cold conditions and capable of handling a fast-paced workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing and preparing meat products for distribution
- Weighing, labelling, and quality checking products
- Handling and moving meat products safely and efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Working as part of a production team to meet daily targets
- General housekeeping and cleaning duties within the production area
Requirements:
- Previous food production or packing experience is beneficial but not essential
- Comfortable working in a cold/chilled environment for extended periods
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy and repetitive tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work long hours when required
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
