Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Halesowen

Salary: £43,000-£45,000 Dependent on experience

Shift Patterns: 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

Oliver Rae are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing business in the Black Country. As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee the design and implementation of production processes within the machine shop, ensuring optimal efficiency and high-quality output. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvements to enhance productivity, streamline operations, and maintain exceptional manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities:

Review and optimise production plans to minimise setup times and maximise efficiency.

Ensure clarity and accuracy of route card instructions and technical drawings for seamless execution.

Manage tooling requirements, including cutting tips, drills, taps, and other essential equipment.

Analyse and report on production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.

Develop and maintain structured program vaults for CNC machines to enhance consistency and precision.

Conduct audits and verifications to ensure employees adhere to route card instructions and established procedures.

Evaluate and forecast tooling and equipment costs, assessing future production overheads and resource needs.

Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules to minimise downtime and align with production demands.

Qualification/experience:

Manufacturing Engineer experience is preferred.

Program writing is essential.

Solidworks or similar experience.

Must be computer literate.
