Pay Rates: £28k – £30k

Hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 16:30

We’re looking for experienced machinists to work with conventional machines like Bridgeport millers and Jones & Shipman surface grinders, as well as CNC Lathes and Millers running on Fanuc controls.

What you will be doing:

  • Setting, and operating CNC and XYZ Machinery.
  • Machining samples to meet international testing criteria with precision and consistency.
  • Programming wire eroder machines to create precise impact specimens.
  • Operating surface grinders to produce impact specimens to exact specifications.
  • Cutting specimens using the saw with care and precision.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce high-spec components.
  • Performing tool changes and machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conducting quality checks using precision measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and making real-time adjustments to optimise performance.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience with conventional machines (Bridgeport millers, Jones & Shipman surface grinders).
  • Experience with CNC Lathes and Millers using Fanuc controls.

  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and machining processes.
  • Experience with machining to international testing criteria.
