Job Title: Dresser
Location: Stourbridge
Hours: 16:00-04:00 or 17:00-05:00, Monday to Thursday (4 shifts per week)
Optional Overtime: Saturday & Sunday daytime
Pay Rate: £15.02 – £20.25 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Role Overview
This role is based within a small dressing shop team, working with castings using automatic grinding machines, hand grinding, dressing, and linishing. It is a heavy industrial environment, and experience as a dresser within a foundry is essential. You will complete 4 weeks of day-shift training before moving onto the night shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities;
- Operate automatic grinding machinery to finish castings.
- Carry out hand grinding, dressing, and linishing tasks.
- Inspect castings and ensure all quality standards are met.
- Follow all health and safety procedures within a foundry environment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work effectively within a small, supportive team.
- Support production targets and continuous improvement.
Requirements;
- Foundry dressing experience is essential.
- Confident operating grinding and dressing equipment.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment.
- Able to complete 4 weeks of day-shift training.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work night shifts consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
