Job Title: Carpenter
Location: Walsall (Working away)
Pay Rates: £35,000 – £40,000 + dependent on experience
Shift Patterns: 40-hour week 08:00 – 16:30
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our client based in Walsall. The work will not be local, and you will be required to work away 4-5 days per week. However, the client pays all expenses, fuel card, and van and you get £25.00 per day food allowance.

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. You will play a crucial role in various construction and renovation projects, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to required specifications using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
Assemble and install frameworks, structures, and fixtures such as doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, and trim.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Install insulation, subflooring, drywalls, and other necessary building materials.
Ensure work meets quality standards and client specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and painters.
Perform finish carpentry tasks to create polished and functional results.
Qualification/experience:
Must have a driving licence with no more than 6 points and no infringements.
Must be a time served Carpenter.
Excellent knowledge of techniques.
Must have own tools.
Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of a job.
Good communication.
Permanently employed directly by the business after 12 weeks of working through Oliver Rae.
