Job Title: Internal Sales
Location: Cannock
Salary: £30k – £35k
Working hours: Days with an early finish on a Friday
We’re working exclusively with a well‑established and growing business within the GRP and industrial gratings sector that is strengthening its commercial team with the addition of an experienced Internal Sales professional.
This is a stable, long‑term role offering job security within a specialist industry, suited to someone who already understands GRP or gratings products and can hit the ground running.
The Role
This is a hands‑on internal position combining estimating, sales support, and customer account management. You’ll be responsible for managing existing relationships while helping to grow the business in a competitive market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and following up detailed quotations for GRP and grating products
- Managing customer relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Processing sales orders accurately on the internal system
- Interpreting drawings and specifications to support accurate pricing
- Proactively following up quotes and converting them into orders
- Upselling and cross‑selling products where appropriate
- Handling inbound and outbound sales calls
- Delivering high levels of customer service throughout the sales process
- Supporting business growth in a competitive industrial environment
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in internal sales or estimating within the GRP or gratings industry (essential)
- Strong product knowledge within industrial flooring, gratings, or GRP systems
- Confident communicator with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple quotes and enquiries simultaneously
- Commercially aware with a proactive, sales‑driven mindset
