Job Title: Plasma Cutter
Location: Aldridge
Pay Rates: £14.50
Shift Patterns: Monday – Thursday 07:00-16:00 and Friday 06:00 – 15:00
We are currently seeking a skilled Plasma Cutting Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of high-quality fabricated components.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and operating plasma cutting machines to produce accurate cuts on sheet metal and other materials
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
Measuring, marking, and preparing materials for cutting
Carrying out routine machine maintenance and basic calibration
Inspecting finished components to ensure quality and accuracy
Supporting additional fabrication tasks such as grinding, welding, or assembly when required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards
Working collaboratively with the team to meet production targets
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or fabrication role
Strong mechanical knowledge and confidence using tools and equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Understanding of health and safety procedures within a fabrication environment
Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
