Job Title: Roofer
Location: Walsall (Working away)
Pay Rates: £30,000 – £40,000 + dependent on experience
Shift Patterns: 40 hour week 08:00 – 16:30
We are seeking an experienced Roofers to join our client based in Walsall. The work will not be local and you will be required to work away 4-5 days per week. However, the client pays all expenses, fuel card, van and you get £25.00 per day food allowance.

As a roofer you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems. You will ensure that roofs are constructed and maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, asphalt, metal, and tiles.
- Inspect roofing systems to identify necessary repairs or potential issues.
- Remove old roofing materials and dispose of them properly.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific areas and ensure a secure and watertight finish.
- Use hand tools and equipment such as hammers, saws, and nail guns efficiently and safely.
- Install insulation and vapor barriers when required.
- Ensure roofing projects meet local building codes and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members.
Qualification/experience:
- Must have a driving licence with no more than 6 points and no infringements.
- Must be a time served roofer.
- Excellent knowledge of techniques.
- Must have own tools.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of a job.
- Good communication.
- Experience with a variety of roofing systems, including flat, sloped, and green roofs.
- Familiarity with modern roofing technologies and materials.
- Basic carpentry skills and experience with roofing repairs.
- Permanently employed directly by the business after 12 weeks of working through Oliver Rae.
